Simon graduated from the University of Western Australia Medical School in 1974, and continued his gynaecological studies in Italy and England.

In the early eighties, he returned to Perth and began building a reputation as one of Western Australia's most respected consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists.

In 2000, Simon became Medical Director of Hollywood Fertility Centre.
