How to start with Hollywood Fertility Centre
The first thing you need to do to start treatment with Hollywood Fertility Centre is to arrange an appointment with one of Hollywood Fertility Centre's accredited specialists.
An appointment can be made in advance to meet with our nurse coordinators at around the same time. It is a good idea to coincide these meetings with your menstrual cycle. A stimulated cycle begins on Day 19 after the beginning of your last period, so an interview between about Day 12 and Day 18 would be ideal.
For appointments with the nurse coordinator please call Hollywood Fertility Centre on +61-8-9389-4200 or send an email to hwfc@hollywoodivf.com. We can also help you with an appointment with your Hollywood Fertility Centre doctor. Depending on the type of treatment required, you may also need to see one of our counsellors.
How long will you need to stay?
Some countries can provide the initial stages of monitoring, up until you need to start having ultrasounds, when you need to come to Perth. This would then require a stay of 2 weeks to cover the last of the monitoring and the procedures.
To have the whole cycle in Perth, you will need to apply for a 3 month visa. More information about visas can be found on the Australian Immigration Department website. One cycle will take 6 to 8 weeks. If you stay for 3 months, you should be able to have a second attempt at pregnancy, if necessary.
Where to find us
We are located within Hollywood Private Hospital, Monash Avenue, Nedlands
Where can you stay?
The type of accommodation you need will depend on how long you intend to stay. Ideally you should stay close to the city for easy access to the clinic, but we have monitoring centres throughout the Perth Metropolitan area if you have friends or relatives with whom you wish to stay.
Information and advice on accommodation and attractions in Perth is available from the Tourism Western Australiaand www.australia.com.
What will it cost?
Infertility treatment for overseas patients is not subsidised by the Australian government health system. However, if you have private health insurance at home, it is possible that you could get a partial refund from them. You should check with your health fund beforehand to see if they will cover your treatment in Australia.
Hollywood Fertility Centre's fee needs to be paid in full before you start treatment. Detailed prices are available from our accounts department for each different kind of treatment.
